I developed a fascination for Tits as a youngster the first time I saw and identified my first Tufted Tit. As I have not seen any Tufted Tits up here in Maine since settling here 29 years ago, I assume that unlike the Great Tits, they do not cope well with winter.

ReplyDeleteA couple of years ago in SE Arizona, my wife and I saw the Bridled Titmouse, which has to be one of the cutest birds I've ever seen. Same goes with the bushtits, which we used to have when we lived in Washington's Puget Sound area.
Never saw a tit I didn't like.
