I read in the comments that tires don't work for spuds for some reason.
I don't think I would make a 100 bulb light, twenty to 40 seem about right, just make enough of them to put them where needed.
Dishwashers still take less water than hand washing. You know me I'm almost as cheap as you. I said almost.
Correction, hand washing the way most people do it. But I've pointed out before that I use a spray bottle with some soap and water in it and a wet scrub pad to wash them.
And rinse them off with a garden sprayer. It's really got nothing to do with my being cheap, just being conservative.
Helen and I are both conservative, we use about 150 gallons of water a month between the two of us.
Unless I wash our clothes here but more often than not I go to the laundromat to use a front loader.
