Well things may be looking up. A small company south of me might have some work in a few weeks. Gad I need to get back in shape. I've been hangin in a chair like that beaver for too long.
I, too, hope the job pans out. Today's news was very encouraging about the economy, although employment is such a lagging indicator that it's premature to get all giddy about it. But if the job works out, then your economy is recovering, and every one helps.
I don't care where the job is. I've worked everywhere from Centralia to Bellingham. All I care about is that there is work and the pay checks don't bounce.
Haven't started the book yet. Too busy getting out resumes at present and playing the unemployment paperwork game.

hope the company isnt owned by Eddie Haskell
Good luck. Hope the company isn't too far south of you. Long commutes suck.
Good cartoon; best laugh of the day!

Good luck with the job hunting.
How is the book coming along?
Interesting isn't it? How we come up with cartoons to support our thoughts.
As for work, fuck it, I've so gotten over needing more money.
No need to commute, get a small trailer or 5th wheel and offer to be night security on the job site.
Chances are they will even let you use some of their electricity.

Cry me a river, I've worked in 49 states and a good share of Canada.
People keep telling me I should write a book, screw that, I have books in me, but I know that I'm not an author.
I lost my job last month and found work here on www.bigjobsboard.com
