It should be just a few years before production costs come down making them quite affordable And consider this: an electric motor requires no repairs or maintenance over its life. Think of your washer or vacuum cleaner, it's usually one of the other parts that gives out before the motor gives up the ghost. And with newer battery tech it should be interesting to see the maximum range. At present 150 miles. Then of course there's the Tesla electric car along the same lines. I'm glad to see we still have a few inventive people left in this country.
