Like this guy will make it as president

Herman Cain has announced he's running for president. Aside from the fact that his ideas come right out of the Teabagger playbook that snowball has a better chance of survival. In looking at his background it appears he's nothing more than a corporatist and a bean counter.
So we have yet another clown to add to the circus parade.

In other news the end of the world didn't happen. At least I'm still here. Does this mean I'm not one of the "chosen"? Oh the shame....

Almost forgot 3 more banks hit the skids.

Yep, one more to shoot themselves in the foot...I hope.

As to chosen...what it means is, Harold Whathis is materially better off giving the suckers what they want...and, it also means...there are no chosen. Too bad, I was looking forward to the pagan parties in the aftermath. Maybe next time.

Meh. It's easy to regurgitate talking points of whatever platform you ostensibly subscribe to, but can you *entertain* me, nine-ring circus style?

Only idiots run for president to run this county, I don't know who our next idiot president will be but I don't suppose it will make any difference.

Anyway you look at it, America is failing. With all those christians still here this is still a very fucked up country, sigh..

From an MSNBC story Blogger won't allow a link to:

"Cain supports a strong national defense, opposes abortion, backs replacing the federal income tax with a national sales tax and favors a return to the gold standard."

A national sales tax is a great way to stick it to the poor. Returning to the gold standard is as feasible as returning to the horse-drawn wagon era. What he's really about is giving his corporate and other wealthy right wingers the gold and everyone else the shaft.

I'm so depressed. I'm still here too. I was so looking forward to something else happening.

Since Cain is black, he'd be the perfect teabagger candidate. The teatards could all say "see, we're not racists."

I agree with SW that sales taxes are aimed at the poor who spend ALL their income while the rich do not.

Canada has GST, a national VAT sales tax. People who make below a certain income including zilch can apply for an estimated refund of their GST paid. It is a flat refund too so the poorest of the poor get slightly more than they would have spent. Makes it a little more fair, maybe.

I would favour a negative income tax. Talk about a snowball's chance in hell...
