Friday beaver time already?

Must say those Canadians are sore losers. No great fan of hockey but I did catch a few news items from the Stanley Cup. One guy checked so hard he won't be playing for a while. Then after the loss Vancouver was set ablaze. I can't say I've been that mad since George Bush won his second term in office.

Today's word then is vituperate. Look that one up in your Funk and Wagnells. Okay okay lazy right click and hit Google search then.

Bank fails later

Two more banks have failed this week one in FL and one in GA

Embarrassing as Hell! What a bunch of asshats. they have 100 people in custody and I think they will be busting a few more. There are things to be said for street cameras.
Last hockey inspired riot that I recall was 1956 in Montreal when they suspended Rocket Richard. It was stupid then and more stupid now.

Vancouver rioted after losing the 1994 final as well. Way to further stomp on the stereotype of the nice Canadian pothead, eh.

Spread negative information about: Hell, I do that all the time when bitching about christians and muslims and women.

Most sports are stupid and stupid people get involved in them.

Canadians are different, you can whip their asses and then they'll drink beer with you, just like many Americans.

Just remembered something, went to a hockey game in Spokane years ago, it was pretty laid back, minor league game.

Where was I in 1994? If I knew about it then, I forgot since. If it happened before they might have suspected something again this time and had more cops out. Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory is a Canucks move anyhow.

Rome's blind sided hit against Horton was worse than that. They put a low rate player in to take out Boston's best.

Boston rose to the challenge and it was actually funny to see some of the antics they got away with after that.

Rome won the game for Boston! They say it was anarchists raising hell after the game and they came prepared regardless who won.

A sports analyst for Vancouver said he has never seen the Sedin twins and the whole Vancouver team manhandled like that.

I think Average Patriot has it right, "They say it was anarchists raising hell after the game and they came prepared regardless who won."

We saw what those SOB's are good for in Seattle a few years ago, during a big international free trade/gut the U.S. economy conference. They're itinerant hell raisers who look for any opportunity and excuse to riot, considering chaos, injuries and destruction of others' property a form of partying.

Rioting because of the way a game or series of games turns out is absurd. Too many in their twenties and thirties are regressing, being juvenilized any more, and this is one sign of it. The absurdity and violence seem to be amplified when hockey is the sport.

Or as Rodney Dangerfield once said:

"My friend and I went to see a fight at Madison Square Garden and a hockey game broke out."
