The pussy is stubborn

My statement on Mubarak: I guess when you're 82 it's hard to change your ways. My real surprise came when the military issued a statement backing the present regime. The names may have changed but the game is the same and that is to keep all the power and wealth in the hands of a few. They must have cut a deal with the regime and are unwilling to change as well. And why would the top brass want anything to change when they get a good chunk of the change in the process?
Something I heard last night put a little perspective on the situation. It took Tunisia nearly a month to rid themselves of their dictator. It will take a bit longer to oust Mubarak. He is fighting to protect his $70 billion. The world could step in and end this by simply freezing his assets. So until then it's the great game called the Mexican standoff. I think the people of Egypt have little to lose and everything to gain by continuing on with their protest.

That's my two cents.....
Bank fails later...

Why are we so surprised at the resistance by Mubarak and his cronies? They have been in power a long time. Giving it up and securing enough booty to live in luxury takes some time to coordinate.

You want a stubborn pussy. Why not help me stuff pills down Fernando's throat? The little bastid has made mince meat out of my hands over the past few days.

Dude's off to live the Miller high life, but I'm sure more than a handful of the unwashed will bite a bullet or three in the near future. Never a shortage of elites wanting that pie.

My take on it is that some feel he should stick around until they can have elections and then he can go, some think it would go smoother that way. I suspect that is correct.

Miller high life

That shit gives me heartburn.

Well dude, my take on things are that if I'm going to have one last grand adventure this is the summer to do it, while I can still afford to. So I'm planning a road trip.

He is is gone and Suleiman too! The people trust the military. I hope it is not misplaced. The old guys could feel younger officers slipping so called it quick and told Mubarak to cut and run.

That's a great cat! I was happy that as soon as Mubarak announced he was stepping down Switzerland announced they were freezing all his accounts his families and his proteges. Hopefully while he was stalling he wasn't securing it all.

Those dictators get a pretty good pension if they don't swing from a lamp post.

I doubt he'll be eating mac & cheese.
