Friday pussy (Okay I lied)

About how I feel after a fun filled week. Trying to do the job of three people isn't easy ya know. The start of the day was running into a psycho who thought we were spying on her. Sorry babe your life isn't that interesting that I'd take the time. After the local police straightened her out all was clam. I think I have a couple of more weeks of random tasks then who knows? At least I can requalify for unemployment.

Two banks failed this week both in GA.

I'm going to take a wild stab at what will happen with the law suit against the 17 banks for their sales of mortgage backed securities. If the government wins and they usually do then you'll see a sell off of or closure of many branches. That'll be to make up for the losses. However considering that the banks have the government in their back pockets any settlement will be a pittance of what is owed. How many times have we seen that?

I suspect you're right about the banks. What the government ought to do is bankrupt the top four and break the rest of the top 10 banks into a whole lot of much smaller banks. Then, put and keep them under a microscope.

Well, if my bank fails I'll just switch to a different bank. It's not like they make any money off of me anyway.

My biggest problem is a missing pipe.

Capitalists are spending money and hiring all over the place, just not in this country.

On the local radio station online ad's someone is willing to work for five dollars an hour. Well, it'll keep a person going I guess.

Unfortunately Billy it won't even provide them with food or a place to live. It takes a minimum of $23 an hour here to have the cheapest apartment and living expenses after taxes and all. Even at $8.55 you'd better be living at home because nobody is going to rent you a place.

Well, five bucks an hour will feed you, and allow you to own a cheap van to live in.

Back in the good old day's we thought five bucks an hour was good wages, and plenty to live on, my wife didn't even have to work.

I once worked for two bits an hour just for a little extra spending money.

In Florida in the 60's a waitress worked 48 hours a week for 25 bucks and tips.

Ya Billy and that was back when rent was $50 a month and bread was 20 cents a loaf. So what? You expect that same waitress back then to make it on $5 a week?

I don't recall what rent was back then, about two hundred a month as I recall.

The waitresses I knew there lived with family or men, ya do what ya gotta do.

I'm not saying that it's all fair, but it's the way it is.

A good waitress here can't complain, they do but they shouldn't, they pull in up to two hundred bucks a day in tips.

An honest waitress is supposed to tip (share with) the cook, ten percent as I recall, I've gotten as much as fifty bucks a day that way.

A good bartender will pull in up to five hundred a day in tips.

One of Terry's daughters is a bartender in Seattle. Why? Cuz she makes a lot more money than her college education will make for her.
