911

It seems like a hundred years ago but for many who were there it's still a fresh memory with accompanying health problems and nightmares. So many of the firefighters and police officers who didn't die from the attack died later from the effects of breathing dust made up of concrete, asbestos, mercury, diesel fuel, jet fuel and a host of other nasty things. Those exposed have a four times higher rate of upper respiratory and pulmonary problems than the general public. PTSD has been put at 10,000. Mt Sinai has an entire department dedicated to monitoring and treating those exposed. Anyone who worked at site can sign up to be monitored for present and future health effects
.
Mt Sinai

Nothing can bring back the lost lives of the office workers, firefighters and police officers, but we can do our best to take care of the living. If you were there as a worker at the site I encourage you to follow the links and sign up for medical monitoring. The importance being getting treatment and the information is helpful in developing treatments for others.

Another Bush scandal that never saw the light of day. The recovery and environmental monitoring was driven by politics and incompetant Bush appointees. The public is not aware of the suffering still going on.

Good for people to know. Thanks for passing it along!

America asked for it and that's about all I have to say about it.

Maybe you didn't ask for it, but the greedy people above you did.

I just looked at it with interest is all, and it may be nothing compared to what may be coming, so be ready to get out of the way.

Billy you're back. Don't think you missed much. I was just trying to be a bit of a help here. A lot of people who helped out are sick and may not know it.
You might be right about what's coming but I sure hope you're wrong.

The legacy will be with us for generations to come. Unfortunately, Billy is probably right. It will get worse before it gets better. America is still very, very angry. And I think that is what saddens me the most. We have given them what they want. Our Fear.

Switching gears here - You have been tagged.

America is angry because America is stupid and brainwashed. Just saying.

Joe was being monitored by New York for upcoming health problems. Then they sent him a free insurance application.......and he didn't fill it out. He thinks he'll never need it, and he also feels funny "taking" things like that when he didn't have to go to ground zero, but volunteered. Sometimes I just wanna hit him in the head with a brick.
