Just a question or point of clarification. A nice furry one? As opposed to what, a mean hairy one?
Generally I have found most beavers to be quite agreeable once they let you get to know them. Often stand offish at first, but once they open up, well, we all know what happens then.
sounds like you mostly get balding beavers----and this hairy one is an exception? then again maybe they're hairyness is a functing of mating season---do beavers molt??

I guess there are shaved ones out there. Haven't seen one of those yet. I guess a few well drinks and they'll open up. :-)
We did get attacked by a mountain beaver while working up there at Boeing. Nasty little thing it was.
A mountain beaver is like a rat, or so I've heard, don't think I've ever seen one.
The other available beavers here are all members of THE INSANE CHICKS SOCIETY (TICS)
And best avoided.
